How long have you been in business?
Jonathan Betz Photography opened Fall of 2006. Jonathan has been a professional photographer since 2002, beginning back in St. Louis.
What is your primary product or service?
Photographing families and high school seniors and providing professional quality prints, wall art, and albums to enjoy for years to come.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
I first became interested in photography in 1999 when I was in college (St.Louis) and decided to take a trip out to Yellowstone National Park to work there for the summer. I borrowed a camera (Canon AE-1) from a friend and started taking pictures of various landscapes on my way out to Yellowstone. Once there, I was mentored by a professional photographer. He trained me to see the light first and then capture it with my camera. Since that summer, I have been trained by five different master photographers in classical studio lighting. Today, I am proud to be a Certified Professional Photographer (CPP) through our national organization, Professional Photographers of America (PPA).
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
Here in Colorado, everyone wants to be photographed in the great outdoors because of Colorado's beautiful landscapes. We specialize in taking families outdoors and adding studio quality lighting to make it a truly picture-perfect experience. Additionally, we provide more than just high quality portraits - we also come alongside our families through the experience of choosing favorites and creating an order of tangible prints and products that will be enjoyed for years to come.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
We are a small boutique "mom and pop shop" here in Colorado Springs. We have only 1 location and plan to keep it that way.

What type of payments do you accept?
We offer all types of payments, Visa, Mastercard, Discover, AMEX and of course Cash and Check
Which areas do you service?
Our Primary service location in anywhere in the Colorado Springs area. We often will travel out of the city for weddings and events.
Who owns your company or runs daily operations?
Jonathan & Lindsay Betz are the owners. Lindsay is our studio manager and Jonathan is the chief photographer and operations manager of the company.
What are your hours of operation?
Open 10-6pm Tuesday - Saturday Closed Sunday and Monday
What is the best compliment anyone can give you?
Being proud to hang their portrait up in their home for family and friends to enjoy.
What is your favorite quote or Bible verse?
